This is a wonderful idea. It would be too expensive to make for every table in the reception but the main table would be perfect.its easy to make. The designer explains each step, along with pictures. There's not much to it. And it can be used in any season. A little frosted look would be perfect for my Winter wedding.

I made something just like this for my outdoor patio furniture. I put this piece in the center of the outdoor coffee table and when it's dark out, it looks so cool all lit up. I can totally see this being used as a centerpiece for a wedding table.
