Clever idea to use the support of an old lampshade to,provide the lift base. The grill top works too, but I could also using a pretty plate glued to the lamp shade frame as well. Embellish the exposed wire frame by covering the wire with satin or crossgrain ribbon or even gathered fabric sleeves for a more finished look. Or how about entwining silk flowers into the frame for a softer look? Many ways to go to get that creative cake stand to be a standout at the table! Thanks for sharing!
