Shawl measures 16" [40.5 cm] wide x 60" [152 cm] long.
GAUGE: 5 V-sts = 4" [10 cm]; 5½ rows = 4" [10 cm] in V-st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Row 1: Skip 5 ch (counts as tr and ch 1), V-st in next ch, *skip 2 ch, V-st in next ch; repeat from * to last 2 ch, skip next ch, tr in last ch – 20 V-sts and 2 trs.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as tr here and throughout), turn, V-st in ch-1 space of each V-ch across, tr in last tr. Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 60" [152 cm]. Do not fasten off.
Edging
