My friend has made a similar garment and it is gorgeous. Thank you for the great instructions for this pattern which is lovely and looks like a very high end couture piece. This shawl would definitely become a treasured heirloom passed on to many generation! For a variation, you could later embed some irredescent crystal beads into the pattern by crocheting on top of the finished product and tie in to secure, or even just sew on with thread, perhaps securing with tacky white craft glue that dries clear for extra security. A super pattern!

This is a gorgeous project and one that I would love to have on my own wedding day. I would have to get someone else to make it for me as I don't crochet and would never have the patience to make. Love the idea though and it is a lovely piece of art work.

This crochet shawl is extremely beautiful. It looks like it would take a long time to complete, so it would definitely be a labor of love.
