NotesWEDDING PRO TIP: Crafting the perfect maid of honor speech is not an easy task, but with a bit of advice and guidance, you can raise one of these gold flutes and confidently deliver a memorable toast.

Although the idea of speaking in front of hundreds of people can make you feel weak in the knees, keep in mind no one expects you to be a stand up comedienne. If your speech is a mixture of laughter and tears, you can't go wrong. And if the jokes are simply falling flat, you can never go wrong speaking from the heart.

Be sure to also thank the hosts at some point during your maid of honor speech. After all, being gracious will never go out of style.

Don't forget to say something nice about the groom - even if you don't know him well. Focus on how happy he makes the bride or recount a story she told you when they first started dating.

Keep in mind some of your favorite moments may not be appropriate for a mixed-age audience, so be discreet when choosing which stories to recount.

Above all else, try your best to keep your maid of honor speech short and sweet. A majority of people have limited attention spans, so you want to convey your sentiments as eloquently and concisely as possible.

These are very pretty and to be able to customize them to your wedding is wonderful. There are so many ways to do that. You can add names, the date, or just congrats! I think the date would be nice. Plus the groom won't forget his anniversary if it's right there in front of him.
