This DIY Simple Squash Bowl is perfect for a fall or winter wedding and can be used as an ice bucket, a serving bowl, or even just as decoration. This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to turn a plain old squash into a painted creation that's versatile and makes for a great conversation starter. Fill it with seasonal flowers for a natural centerpiece, or with ice at your wedding's drink station for a fun harvest twist. If you'd prefer, you can even skip the carving altogether and settle for a pretty painted squash to use as a decoration!

What a clever idea! I love it! We are currently growing pumpkins in our vegetable patches which we are hoping to carve out but it could be cool to do this idea with one of them as well especially if we have people over around Halloween, I think others would love the idea as well)
