If you have an early spring wedding but don't want to cover your gorgeous gown with a not-so-glam coat, whip up a Light Lace Bridal Shawl. This darling addition to your ensemble will keep you warm without compromising your vision. The delicate design only enhances your gown, and the holes allow for it to shine through.

Out of all of the crochet shawl patterns, this is the ideal wedding piece due to it's elegance and understated beauty. Wrap yourself in this cuddle-worthy crochet piece for outdoor photographs and then shed it when you walk down the aisle. This crochet pattern will fit right in with your other spring wedding ideas, keeping the theme while keeping you cozy.

Shawl is made in two halves. Each half is worked from the center out to the outer (long) edge. After the first half is complete, the second half is worked beginning by working across the opposite side of the foundation chain of the first half.

My friend has made a similar garment and it is gorgeous. Thank you for the great instructions for this pattern which is lovely and looks like a very high end couture piece. This shawl would definitely become a treasured heirloom passed on to many generation! For a variation, you could later embed some irredescent crystal beads into the pattern by crocheting on top of the finished product and tie in to secure, or even just sew on with thread, perhaps securing with tacky white craft glue that dries clear for extra security. A super pattern!

This is a gorgeous project and one that I would love to have on my own wedding day. I would have to get someone else to make it for me as I don't crochet and would never have the patience to make. Love the idea though and it is a lovely piece of art work.

This crochet shawl is extremely beautiful. It looks like it would take a long time to complete, so it would definitely be a labor of love.
