Instructions:
GAUGE: 12 dc = 4” (10cm); 8 rows = 5½” (14cm) with smaller hook. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

THROW
With smaller hook and B, ch 140.
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (beginning ch counts as first dc) and in next 10 ch, *skip next ch, V-st in next ch, skip next 2 ch, shell in next ch, skip next 2 ch, V-st in next ch, skip next ch, dc in next 12 ch; repeat from * 5 more times, turn—12 V-sts, 6 shells.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in next 11 dc, *V-st in ch-1 space of next V-st, shell in ch-1 space of next shell, V-st in ch-1 space of next V-st, dc in next 12 dc; repeat from * across, turn. Fasten off B.
Row 3: Join A with slip st in first dc (joining slip stitch and following ch-2 count as first dc), ch 2, dc in next 11 dc, *V-st in ch-1 space of next V-st, shell in ch-1 space of next shell, V-st in ch-1 space of next V-st, dc in next 12 dc; repeat from * across, turn.
Rows 4-8: Repeat Row 2, 5 times. Fasten off A at end of last row.
Row 9: With B, repeat Row 3.

Rows 11-16: With A, repeat Rows 3-8. Fasten off A at end of last row.

FINISHING
Sew hearts onto throw as shown in heart placement diagram, found in materials list. Weave in all ends.
