"We built a DIY rustic tiered cupcake display to go with our coastal themed wedding reception. The whole thing was made from driftwood and tree slices that we collected from the beach where we live. They were screwed together and we sealed the whole thing for a solid statement piece. It was a beast to transport but I really love the way that it turned out and how it looked in photographs from that night."

I do not think this driftwood cake stand would be possible for me to do but my god is it beautiful, a show stopping piece and It would look beautiful in the house afterwards as well! I am in love with this and wish it was possible to do here but the driftwood in Ireland is always soft and not too nice!

What a unique idea for this kind of wedding theme. I love going to weddings where there is an element of surprise and this would definitely fit that bill. I'm from Michigan originally and every time I go home I collect driftwood to bring home with me (when I'm not flying that is!). I'll keep this project in mind. Thanks for sharing!
